Job Description

A private equity funded hot UK start-up is looking for another Business Development Manager to join their growing business in the UK. They have recently acquired a software vendor to add to their portfolio, therefore they are looking for an individual ideally with a proven track record within security to assist with their EMEA growth.

JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager - Managed Security Services
PACKAGE: £80K Base, £160K OTE + Benefits

- 3+ years' experience selling IT security - would be open to either software or consultancy as long as you can demonstrate the ability to sell both
- Ideally sold managed security services
- Autonomous new business hunter - talk about how you approach it
- Consultative approach

- Credible and presentable with good attention to detail


- This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-funded and rapidly growing information security consultancy in a senior sales role, reporting into the Country Manager
- This vacancy is due to significant funding and a want to penetrate the UK market
- You will be selling consultancy services, managed security services and security products such as FireEye, Carbon Black and LogRhythm
- This is a new business role selling into the UK private sector
- You will be given 2 accounts (likely from within the FS vertical) to get you up and running; these accounts will be spending £50k-£200k per annum and will have brought multiple parts of their proposition
- Deal sizes will be from £5k for pentesting / £15k for PCI to £300k for large deals incorporating consulting, implementation, product, and managed services. New relationships will typically start with some threat hunting and pentesting
- Sales cycles will be anything from 2-10 months
- You will be selling predominantly into Retail, FS and Legal
- You will be pitching to CSO's, Security Managers/Directors, ITM's, ITD's, CIO's, CISO's
- Ramp up year one sales target tbc will be circa £1m revenue
