New and exciting opportunity to join a market leading provider of IT design-driven digital services to the UK public sector, high in a new business sales role.

JOB TITLE: Business Development Manager - Digital Application Services
LOCATION: Guildford
PACKAGE: £60k basic, £100k OTE, £5k car allowance, plus benefits

COMPANY INFORMATION

- Turnover £15m
- Top 30 G-Cloud provider
- Recently acquired by a 3000 employee, £300m turnover market leader of IT services to the UK public sector
- Well referenced in over ¾ of the UK public sector including healthcare, education, local and central government

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Sold Professional/Consultancy Services to business points of contact around IT
- Able to self-generate leads and source own opportunities
- Strong tender writing, tender management and tender presentation skills
- Degree educated
- Public sector experience advantageous but not essential

ROLE INFORMATION

- New and exciting opportunity to join a market leading provider of IT design-driven digital services to the UK public sector
- This role is predominately new business focused (circa 80% new business, 20% account management)
- Selling Consultancy Services, Systems Integration, Application Development and Support around Microsoft, Java and Open Source technologies, 80% delivered from the UK and 20% Application Development from India
- You will sell across Healthcare, Education, Transport, Communities, Local Government, Housing and Non-profit organisations
- You may inherit some accounts to nurture depending on your expertise
- Average order value £100k revenue with deals ranging up to £2m+
- Deals will be project based as well as managed services
- You will sell fixed price and T&M projects
- Sales cycles 3-6 months
- Target £1.4m
- The business has a very strong reputation for winning contracts in central government from tier 1 players due to initiatives to use SME's, plus they can act more quickly and attentively than their larger competitors and with more agility
