JOB TITLE: Solution Sales Director

KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

- Sold consultancy/professional services in IT (likely to come from a large scale consulting / SI background, but open to smaller company backgrounds stepping up to these deals)
- Solution Sales experience (able to identify a pain point/requirement, then craft a solution from a large services/solutions portfolio)
- Experience utilising the following technologies: IOT (from a data analytics perspective, not selling the infrastructure), Big Data, Analytics and Cloud technologies such as Azure, AWS, Google, etc.
- You will have a network of VP, Director and C-Level contacts that you are happy to leverage
- Ability to map the technology issues to the business challenges facing your target industry sector (ideal sector knowledge: Retail, Manufacturing, Travel & Transport)
- PTR of complex solution sales and multi-stakeholder management
- High energy, "can do" individuals with an entrepreneurial outlook

ROLE INFORMATION

- You will work with clients across a range of industries and offer digital solutions that drive innovation to lower costs, grow revenue, create competitive edge, and impact society, including:
o Predictive Maintenance
o Internet of Things (IoT)
o Big Data and Machine Learning
- You will enjoy responsibility for the acquisition and development of strategic customers, by driving new business campaigns to engage with new prospects and sell targeted solutions, developed by in-house technology and industry experts. Key verticals are Manufacturing, Retail, and Travel & Transport
- You will be fully supported by telesales and marketing teams in these pursuits, as well as leveraging your own existing industry network to generate opportunities. You will also have exceptional backup from a market-leading pre-sales and delivery resource
- In this role you will lead on pairing solutions to the needs of prospective clients at executive level. This includes articulating practical solutions for business scenarios and demonstrating an ability to address pain points and issues at a high level. You will provide insight into industry trends, priorities, challenges and market opportunity, identifying how this company's products/services may bring value to clients in the relevant sector
- Because this role is to both consult with and sell to your prospective customers, this role can be viewed as roughly 30% consulting and 70% selling in terms of the split of your skills/experience
- You will own a sales target of £4.5M revenue (pro-rata year 1), and you will be responsible for driving and executing a sales plan to achieve it
- Order values for the solutions you will sell can range upward of £150K into the millions per engagement
